Mini crib

I’m 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I’m having a little boy. I live in a decent size one bedroom apartment. The baby will share my room with my husband for a while. i know a lot of parents use bassinets. I’m wondering, if I use a mini crib right near my bed will that be okay? Or is a bassinet recommended for newborns? I wouldn’t be using a full size crib, I would get a mini crib.

Is that okay?
