Bleeding a week later

I had a vaginal delivery, unmedicated due to my body moving quicker than expected. I had my son a week ago as of yesterday and am obviously still bleeding down there. I had extensive tearing/bleeding. Sometimes when I change my pad, it'll be a little blood others there is more (NOT soaking within an hour). Sometimes it is light in color, others it can be dark or fresh looking blood. Stringy or tacky at times.

I'm just wondering others experiences with bleeding postpartum and if you've done anything to help. I'm currently on iron supplements.
