Should I wake my baby to feed?

Hi ladies, can you tell me if you would wake your baby to feed after sleeping for 4 hours? My little boy is almost 8 weeks old and normally feeds around 10.30 or 11pm and than sleep until about 6am. He is putting on a good amount of weight and always eats with no issues. He has now been sleeping just around 4 hours without waking for his 11pm bottle yet. I am unsure whether to wake him or let him sleep through.

Nope - as long as his weight is ok, let him sleep! He’ll wake when he’s hungry! Though, I know how hard it is to fight your urge to wake them and get more food in their little tummies - I’ve had nights lying staring at the ceiling willing her to wake up cuz I’m worried she’s not had enough to eat and thankful she’s sleeping! 😂😂

No let him sleep. He’s at a point where it’s okay now, my pediatrician told me not to wake him just to feed him anymore at 2 months. Unless he wakes up hungry and wants to eat then obvs feed him but if he’s content it’s totally fine she said he can sleep for like 6 hours at that age.

Don’t wake that baby! Sleep begets sleep. Obviously follow any advice from your pediatrician... but ours told us let them sleep - they will tell you when they are hungry!

Thanks ladies, my husband ended up waking him. 😤 He went down again easy enough after however woke up really early for a bottle.

At my 8 week appointment, the pediatrician said it was fine to let them sleep between 4 and 6 hrs for one long stretch as long as they we're still gaining weight and were still eating the recommended 8-12 times in a 24 hour period. My LO was sleeping so long and not waking me. I felt horrible that I wasn't keeping her nightly feedings. I asked how much sleep was ok, and that was our doctor's recommendation.
