Enlarged kidney?????

So had a my scan and they have picked up that baby has a enlarged kidney they saying they need to keep a eye on it and baby will need scans after birth. Has anyone had any experience with this please? Cant stop worrying about it? Thank you xx

It’s super common and often resolves itself even in the womb sometimes!

Hydronephrosis? That’s what my boy has and my doc has been keeping an eye on it and I guess it’s pretty common. She said he will go on antibiotics after he’s born and they will scan him but probably won’t need any intervention

My son had that problem and it cleared up when he came out. I guess it’s common in boys.

I had an enlarged kidney as a baby and they kept an eye on me but didn't keep me in any longer than usual. I was put on an antibiotic for the first year of my life and it was never really an issue ❤ just make sure you keep your little one hydrated as soon as they are able to have water
