Bedside Sleep or Bassinet rec?

Question

Our second baby will be sleeping in our room with us until we can get our guest room finished. I am trying to find recommendations on a bedside sleeper or bassinet that moms have found worth it. I’m likely going to need to have a repeat csection so anything that accommodates this is great.

I love this bassinet! Still using it at 4 months old. So easy to get him in and out, it pulls up right next to be in bed (comes over the bed) then I can push it back away from the bed. Would be very helpful post c section especially as you won't have to get out of bed to get the baby.

I had this one and loved it (also a csection mom). I almost splurged on the swivel Halo one, but I’m glad I didn’t.

I just picked a random item so I could comment...make sure the height of the bassinet makes sense with the height of your bed!
I didn’t even think about this and my bassinet is so low compared to the bed...I have to prop up to look down in and check the baby when they’re sleeping. I’d so rather just open my eyes and look over!

We had a regular bassinet when we first brought my son home. I had to get up out of bed to pick him up and it irritated me endlessly. So I convinced my husband to let me get this co-sleeper. I felt safer having him not actually in the bed but still technically right next to me. I could just reach over and get him to easily nurse him during the night. 
You can find a ton of these on Facebook marketplace and other similar sites. 
We did get a 2” firm foam mattress to put in it though as it seemed super hard without it. And cotton king size pillow cases made inexpensive great sheets for it. We just tucked the end under and safety pinned it underneath to keep it well fitted.

I looked at a vast number of bassinets and bedside sleepers. Dome would be outgrown far too soon, others had reviews warning of instability,  wobbles, and tilting. I finally found this bedside sleeper- it is large, stable, and safe. It can be used as a separate bassinet, or strapped securely to the bed frame. I highly recommend this one for C-sections, chronically ill mama's, or just breastfeeding & co-sleeping safely.

I got this, with my daughter she spent so much time in her swing that I thought this would be a good solution! I figured either way I’m going to have to sit up to get baby, as I don’t like twisting after c-section (I sit up and then reach for baby). I also like the price and that it’s two in one!

We just use a play pen for now until she's in her own room in the crib.  O r has the raised bar so she up high in it which acts like a bassinet. This way we didn't need to buy both a bassinet and a play pen.
