First appointment with NHS?

Hello ladies. I have booked my first appointment and it's about 3 weeks away now (the waiting time is killing meeeee). They didn't mention anything about taking a scan. They said the appointment usually lasts around an hour. Do I get to meet my baby in 3 weeks time or are they going to ask me to sheduele a sonogram separate to this appointment?

My first appointment was today. A phone call asking you questions to get you on their maternity database. Ask about family history health issues.  Next appointment is to get blood and urine checked and collect folder with notes/info. Scan is scheduled separately for September.  Had to call maternity ward to get first appointment at doctors and they booked me in for a scan then too.

It depends how far along you are & what the office is like. Many doctor’s offices will only schedule an ultrasound for the 20 weeks gestation.

The first appointment is usually a booking appointment with NHS midwife. I'm waiting for a call back to book mine in and I'm assuming it may be different now COVID is around. It was around an hour and all history taken including family history of my husband and myself. Bloods taken etc. Then later date you get your appointment for 12 week scan at hospital (they say between 8-12weeks but more likely around 10-12).
