Does your significant other care about body hair? {leg hair, under arms, etc}

currently single and was just talking to one of my best friends that is a guy and was genuinely curious to hear what men think about female body hair. and i don’t mean hair on your privates, i mean like leg hair, arm pits, back etc. i’m usually clean shaved under my arms and my legs but i haven’t shaved my legs in over a week and literally couldn’t give a shit. however, i started to wonder if i was laying here with my hypothetical mans, would he care? should i be upset if he wants me to shave? i’ve never cared if a woman shaved or not, it’s her choice but like ????? why do men care????? idk. sorry for the word vomit; just very curious LOL. if i was dating a girl, i wouldn’t care if she shaved or not.

Men vary in how they feel about body hair. 
I'm single too right now, but I've been in a lot of relationships by now.
I've been around 2 men who fetishize body hair & ask me to grow out at least some part of my body hair or all of it. I don't particularly like that, because I like shaving it off, not every day, but every few.
I've mostly experienced a lot of men who are polite or indifferent about the times I haven't shaved. A lot of them express indifference. 
And then there are people who just hate body hair and feel icky about seeing it- a lot of people do feel that way about women more. 
I kinda perceive it as a childish or inexperienced attitude sometimes, like sure, everyone is entitled to have a preference, but realistically, people have hair & people are not going to shave every day. I think that's just a reality of having a real close relationship with a human being.

I’ve been with my husband since we were in high school. I have to shave my legs everyday. I can NOT stand the feeling when they are hairy. I trim down below but never shave. My husband has never made a comment about it either way but if I suddenly quit shaving my legs I think he’d be surprised lol

Totally agree- why do they care??! I feel like if someone has a problem with hair on my body that is their problem. I don’t shave my underarms because I hate how they itch and get bumpy the next day and frankly I do not care that I grow underarm hair, it’s just a thing my body does. I don’t shave my legs either because I feel like it’s a waste of time as they too grow back starting the next day or two and it’s more bothersome and noticeable to me when I shave and have stubble. I’m not very ‘hairy’ so maybe I would think differently if it was more noticeable but I don’t want to do anything for someone else’s approval of my body. I do wax/sugar my under arms and legs every month or so because I chose to but in between I don’t let it dictate what I wear and it doesn’t effect intimacy. 
 I really get bugged by what society has done to expectations of women changing their bodies for others acceptance. I am all for women and men choosing how they manipulate their body hair but I hate that women feel like they ‘have to do it’.

My husband is a mixture. 
He detests leg hair (but mostly because of the sandpaper effect), he’s indifferent to arm hair and has a borderline fetus for underarm hair so he’s an unhappy boy during the summertime and tank tops since I have my personal hang ups about going into public with an underarm bush. Pubic hair is a topic of debate among us though lol. He likes shaved lips and bikini area and a trimmed bush but I despise shaving down there and trimming. I’ll get ingrown hairs, razor burn and the times ends are sharp and when the shaved hair starts growing back it’s so DAMN itchy. I’ll do it from time to time but I am personally A okay with a free range jungle down there like the unclaimed lands of the Amazon lol

My guy prefers me completely clean shaven, but I think would only protest if I stopped shaving my armpits. Everything else he is fine with whatever I decide.
