No. Usually parents see things that you don’t.

Depends on why they hate him. 
If it’s a good reason, then prob not. Lots of tension and for good reason and all that. If it’s because of race or religion or things I don’t agree with my parents about then yep he’s mine and I chose him.

Yes sometimes in laws can just hate the partner for the sole reason of them being with their child and for whatever reason think they aren’t good enough. They could be right but they could also be wrong, time will tell. Unless your partner is abusing you in any way and isn’t meeting the standards you deserve it usually isn’t a rational reason as to why they don’t like the partner.

Absolutely. His Mom hates that I’m older than him so it’s not like I’ve ever given her a real reason to hate me. She just does.

Yes. My in laws hate me with a burning passion and I've been with my husband almost 7 years. My parents aren't too happy with my husband but they're nicer.

MY parents, no. My mom is my best friend and is not one to just hate someone for no real reason. However, there are plenty of parents who hate on their kids SO’s for stupid/awful reasons, so I couldn’t tell someone else what to do if their parents hated their partner.
