Fertile (usually referring to the fertile window) is a portion of time in your cycle when you are able to conceive because your cervical music is the right consistency, ovulation is nearing, and sperm can survive inside of you for up to 5 days. 
Ovulation is the event in which the egg leaves your ovary and waits to be fertilized by sperm. Ovulation can take a few minutes but does not last days and days.

Omg this poll... people answering “yes” do not understand their own body functions. Please do your own research using google and medical articles. I’d say 50% (or more) of women do not know enough about their own bodies because all we’re taught in school is “sex=pregnant”. 
It’s not that simple and people do NOT understand the difference. I’m glad you’re seeking more information, but please do not rely on poll answers for this. Google, research, and speak to your OBGYN.
