Dog doors - Am I overthinking this

I live in a small one bedroom house. The layout is wonky because of the two double doors that lead to a small garage. Because of this everything else is pushed onto one wall. A couch, a desk, and a bookshelf that is turned to face the desk which I hate. Anyway, I wanted to put my couch in front of the double doors (since it just goes to the small garage and we just use for light storage. On the double doors it has a dog door. Which we don’t have open right now because we are fostering a dog that fights with another dog and we have to keep separated at all times (so one is in the yard and one is in the house and then we switch) so a dog door doesn’t work right now. But I love having one because I like that it gives my dogs freedom. Now the layout of the house looks soo much better with the couch moved but it blocks the dog door. Should I find another way to rearrange so that I don’t block the door? Should I rearrange when I can use the dog door again since we don’t know how long this situation would be? Am I taking away their freedom? I can put another one through the wall in the house in a better area but I don’t know if that would be a mistake?

*not fostering through a rescue, dog was being abused/neglected and being sent to the pound to get put down so I took her in. Trying to find a home for her but difficult due to breed. No social media besides here so hard to reach out. Also we have six dogs and she gets along with the other four just fine.
