If your hospital doesn’t supply anything for you (hey, some places don’t) you need a new one every 2-4 hours and every time you go to the bathroom for your entire hospital stay. If you are there 3 days, that equates to roughly 36+bathroom visits for the stay. Make sure you change them frequently as you could get an infection. Try to go to the bathroom often after the catheter is removed (if you have one) and don’t rush. It all happens in its own time 💩🤪
