Ovulation

Can someone help me understand? I’m not sure if I ovulated or not this is my first time using these kind of test and it’s kind of weird to me that the darkest test I see is really early along in my cycle. I was still kind of spotting when I got it so I’m not sure if it was still my period and if that could happen ?
