I messed up....Need advice.

Sooo my period was due on the 21st. I believe I ovulared late because I didn't get EWCM until around Aug 12/13th. So today I decided to test but couldn't find my pregmate hcg test so I used an ovulation test. Its positive. I know they can detect pregnancy but ALSO it can show a surge before your period is due to show. Should I keep waiting for AF to show a what?
