Do you think doing a drive by baby shower is dumb?

I went to one this weekend and some people (myself included) got out of the car and stood outside chatting with the mom to be for awhile. We even took a picture together. Others stayed in their vehicle to drop off the gift. I think it allows people to choose their comfort level. They also passed out treat bags to everyone who came by. Personally I’m going to have an outdoor baby shower, but it was a decent alternative.

We’re doing a zoom and I feel so idiotic. I get it with the pandemic but I wish it could just all be in person and normal 😭. 
I am having a few people in person but it’ll be less than 10.

I have a date for whatever we do, but I’m really playing up to seeing how schools reopening goes before I decide. I would love to have a traditional shower more than anything, but if all hell breaks loose and schools shut down again, that’s my sign to go virtual or drive by 😅

I think it’s a great idea. I was open to doing one but my boyfriend thinks it’s too much still with covid, so we aren’t doing any kind of shower.

I think it’s fine but I plan to do a virtual one so out-of-town relatives can join. Plus virtual isn’t dependent on weather which depending on what month it is would be either too hot and humid or too unpredictable. Other than that it’s not a stupid idea or anything.

I mean it’s the new normal. I wouldn’t have done it if the virus wasn’t here but it’s the second to the safest beside a virtual one, it’s not dumb it’s just safe for us mamas right now! I think families and friends get why people are doing it than a regular baby shower.

To me it’s not even a party or celebration it’s just a drop off gifts station and that’s the reason why I’m not doing it aside from the fact that I’ve slowly pick things up that I found on sale throughout the pregnancy

Since I had a baby shower 2 years back, I might skip on baby 2. It's too much stress during Covid.
