What does it mean when you get your period twice in one month when your period have been regular for years now?

For me that means my periods are changing days. Say for instance if my period has started on the 1st of each month and lasted for 72hrs as it always does and then it comes back on say the 25th of the same month then starting the following month my period won’t be on the 1st but on the 25th.
Usually happens to me after a year of being on the same date. Either I get 2 or I skip 1 by a few days up to 2 weeks. Actually just happened in may.
