Hair extensions???

Ladies, I just got 22” clip in hair extensions and they are absolutely beautiful, good quality, etc. BUTTTT I have very thick hair and a lot of it, so it doesn’t blend well. I ordered a set of 18” hair extensions and thinking I will combine the two to create a more “layered haircut” feel and obviously will have more extension pieces to cover all my hair. Anyone experienced know if that would work?
