What is my doc doing?

So I got swabbed this morning for a suspected yeast infection. After the doctor pulled the speculum out, she stuck a finger in, and with her other hand, pressed down on my pubic/lower abdomen area. I’ve not had a doctor do this before. I didn’t really think anything of it until I left, I got to wondering what she was checking when she did that? Anyone know what they might be checking when they do that? Or your personal experience?
