Pumpkin Chili
I know it's not exactly Fall yet BUT its starting to get chilly where Im at so Ive been making Autumn-y food lol My kids absolutely love this and its super pretty cause of all the colors mixed. I dnt really measure my stuff; I was raised by my Nana so I'm sure you guys understand Grandmothers just cook by eye, heart, etc..
So this can be simmered in a pot or a crockpot; id brown the meat first in a frying pan with whatever you like for seasonings then put it in the mixture.
I use 1 lb grounded turkey and 1 lb of lean hamburg..drain it. 2 big cans of Pumpkin puree, 2-3 spoonfuls of minced garlic, cut up or get precut up green, yellow, n red peppers, cut up an onion or 2, 1 big can each of corn, red kidney beans, black beans, and any other type of beans you like. Also a medium can of sliced black olives. If you dnt like black olives; you dnt hve to use them. You can literally make this chili your own. Twist it up how you like. I let it simmer for about 2-3 hrs to make sure all the flavors mingle. Lol. I also make a seperate batch of this for my man but add sliced habaneros, jalapenos, and hatch ghost peppers. ..Add sour cream and shredded cheese if wanted. Its bomb!
