I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I'm taking antibiotics for BV. I have completed 3 days of the meds and I'm still having intense itching and burning. I have had it in the past and usually after the first couple days of treatment the itching goes away but it's literally not letting up and I'm about to go crazy! Could it be yeast infection instead of BV? I did a 7 day course of amoxicillin two weeks ago because I tested positive for group b strep but I've never gotten a yeast infection from amoxicillin but have when I was on other antibiotics. There is somewhat of a foul odor with discharge that is mucousy/green with intense, relentless itching. Should I let my dr know the meds aren't working and maybe ask about getting meds for yeast infection?
