Does anyone know what this means? I got the test from the hospital and went home but someone told me they use machines to test but you can still get a reading from this?

what I found:
C is the control
R is reference (tells you is sample was ok to use and that it won't give a false response)
T is the test
All 3 need to have lines and the t shiuld be darker/brighter than R.

What machine? Because when they made me take out they pulled it out the drawer and just laid it on the countertop they dint take it anywhere else to be tested
