Should I show my boyfriend my period?

I have a question for all you bleeders in a close relationship with a man:

Have any of you demonstrated to them how you put in a tampon or shown them your period in an intimate or personal way? Tell your story. How did it go?

If not: If your partner was really curious about what your period looked like or what putting in a tampon was like – would you show them?

I randomly remembered this story from freshman year in high school that made think of this:

A girl in my math class got her period while we’re studying and didn’t notice. She was wearing tan shorts so it bled through (and there was A LOT of blood). There was this guy sitting next to her and he was the first to notice her bleeding. It freaked him out at first because he didn’t know what it was and actually said, “(Her Name) I think your leg is bleeding or something. 😳”

He said it loudly so the few of us in the corner of the room heard what he was saying and looked up. She twisted around to touch the back of her shorts and was mortified. There was a lot of blood. Luckily in our corner there were mostly girls so we all understood except for him. He was really concerned and offered to take her to the nurse. She told him, “Um, no. I didn’t hurt my leg I think I just got my period. 😅”

He started asking a bunch of questions like, “Is that what a period looks like? It’s a lot of blood... Like it’s red. I don’t think that’s your period. 😟”

Which made us all kind of laugh. And she joked, “Yes, you bleed actual blood on your period dumba*s.” She started freaking out about how she was going to get a change of clothes or even get up to go to the teacher and he took off the jacket he was wearing and offered it to her to cover up.

All of us girls in the corner were “aww-ing” over him (and we all had a little crush on him for the rest of the semester). I always thought that was really sweet of him. ❤️
