Best way to store and organize baby clothes?

Question

Currently I have clothes just broken up by size and they’re in old diaper boxes. I’m hoping to do something a little neater looking. 
What does everyone else do? I’ve seen some moms get real specific like a box with “0-3 month girl short sleeve onesie” 
Is anyone else this specific? 
I’m leaning towards plastic click lock containers with labels from a label maker. Any container tips? Size, brand, etc?

I’m using something like this that locks shut. I have them sorted by size. Before I fold them nicely and label them I just toss what baby grows out of in a regular plastic tote. Once that is full I organize it.

We use plastic totes and just do the age range (0-3, 3-6, etc) to store them in our basement. In the kids bedroom, we have clothes organized like an adult I guess. Pants in one drawer, pajamas in another, etc.

Are you talking about storage for old items, or is this for new clothes that your baby hasn’t worn yet? For my son’s older clothes I use old meal delivery boxes because we get a new one every week and it’s easiest to stack boxes that are all the same size/shape, so diaper boxes work too. We store all of his old things in the attic for future use. I have them categorized by size, for the most part. For my son’s new clothes I just hang them up immediately. When he was younger (less than 1 year) I used hanger tags to divide sections in his closet: NB, 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, etc. I’ve always kept his pants in his dresser drawers, along with socks. Before he was born I hung everything up without washing and left the tags on until I was around 37 weeks, then I went through everything and returned doubles or items I just didn’t like or need, then washed everything I wanted to keep and hung it up again.
