Does 10k gold rings tarnish/fade?

Question

If it does, can it be removed easily with soap and water and soft brush and the cold color come back or do you have to have it redipped? Looking at affordable rose gold rings and 10k is cheaper than 14k so just want to see if it’s worth it! And does it last? Like is it easily restored? Thanks
Not plated btw I don’t like plated jewelry fades too fast 😩

If it’s 10k plated then it could tarnish but if it’s real 10k gold it will not tarnish

Is it plated?  If it is, then you will have problems.  It’s not so common to see gold plated rings though, so I’m going to assume it is actually 10k gold.  If that’s the case, then no, you will not have problems.  It is actually stronger than 14k gold.  Gold is soft, so the lower amount of gold, the stronger it will be due to the other metals mixed.  However, the higher karat has more value.  If you don’t care about investment value, then 10k is the way to go.  As long as it’s not plated.  That’s not worth it at all.
