All those who are still nursing, how do you do it?!! 🤣

I exclusively pump since my son weaned himself around 3 months old. Today I was feeling his gums for his new teeth (he has 5 already?!!) and he suddenly chomped down SO HARD on my finger I yelled out and had tears come to my eyes! I can’t even imagine breastfeeding and him biting my nipple like that OMG you all are champions. I’d wean him automatically myself if he ever bit me during a feeding hahaha.

You are 200% correct. We exclusively pumped for first few months and nursed a bit as well after that and now with 6 teeth I’m like hello pump. It’s prob the beginning of the long slow wean for us, I’m sick of pump and nursing already. I’ll try to keep up some till 12mos. Good luck, exclusive pumping is damn heroic.

Just have to teach them to not bite and look out for signs of wanting to just chew on something rather than feed it was a rough journey

My son has two bottom teeth and the way he latches on my one boob they must rub right under it so I have a sore now but the other day he bite down on that nipple and I was in tears lol I caked the lanolin cream on and took a break for a few feedings on that side it hurt so bad! Lol

She has 4 teeth & bit me bad twice so far. Once was right before bed & I screamed so loud she was hysterical and looked like I betrayed her. She refused to nurse for like an hour after and just cried. I felt terrible but it hurt so bad. 4ish days later she did the same thing in the morning... I screamed (it’s really a knee jerk reaction) but thankfully she didn’t freak out as much. She hasn’t done it since... yet... so I pray that’s the last time. My nipple literally hurt for dats after. No wounds- but she def bruised me

I’m dealing with a biter and it is not fun. My one nipple is split right open. The last month since she got her two bottom teeth have been horrible. Everyone thinks I’m crazy for continuing to nurse but this is our last baby and I want to enjoy her needing me a little longer.

Mine just grew her 2 bottom front teeth simultaneously and when they were coming in she tried to grind her gums on my nipple but I kept taking her off and putting her back on a minute later a few times until she got the hint. She hasn't bitten me yet thankfully. Even though we're 9.5 months in I still cry when I think about weaning so if she bites me I'll still continue 🤣😅

My oldest got me real good one time.  He chomped down so hard I felt something crunch. Nipples don’t crunch. I yelled out and pulled him off so fast and ended that nursing session even though he was not done.  I still cringe and cover my nipple when I think about it 4 years later.

My son went through a biting (and then pulling back!!) phase, and it’s definitely something that makes you re-think continuing to nurse! 
I saw him do it to a bottle the other day and cringed so hard 😖

He has only bitten me really bad one time and I bled a tiny amount. Since then when he is done and wants up and I don’t do it quite quick enough he might lightly clamp down but not really hard. I still tell him no just in case it starts being a thing but really it hasn’t been an issue.
