When did your babies start to sit up?

How old where your babies when they started learning how to sit up? And do you absolutely need to use a bumbo of some sorts to help them learn? What are ways I can start introducing sitting up to my baby?

My oldest was 6mo when he learned to sit up and my youngest was 7mo.     I think it's best that they learn on their own. It helps their balance more and for them to learn they will fall and how not to

5-6 months. Just holding her up from her hoppy and training those muscles. We didn’t use that seat until she sat herself.

My understanding is bumbos are no longer recommended. Did that change?

No bumbo seat. They do not help to learn anything. Letting baby sit and wobble helps them learn. My babe was sitting independently by about 5-6 months.
