So what you want... But being African, I would raise an eyebrow and assume you had some link to Africa. I would strike-up conversation and ask about it in the Starbucks lineup and if you said you had no link... I would be complexed.

You could, but why would you? It isn't something for white people to take just for fashion. If you have no ties to the culture behind it, it's disrespectful. There's no good reason for white people to wear it, and fashion isn't a good enough reason. As a white woman myself, I really don't understand this need to wear things that belong to other cultures...

I’m not saying don’t wear it. The reason POC get offended when non POC wear things like this and or braids or long nails is because blacks get the backlash. If Kylie Jenner wore one nobody would see it as an issue( it’s fashion🙄) but as black people we get told were “ ghetto” for doing it. Its something significant to us it has meaning and to be told we look ghetto is highly offensive. I don’t think any women that’s not a POC should be telling people “everyone is so sensitive”.

Like get your hair styled by a black woman 
Buy lashes or make up from black owned labels 
Idk if dashiki style skirts count. They can be labeled as “wax print skirts” ,”tribal print skirts” , “dashiki skirt” or bohemian print maxis. All very similar patterns just a bit more acceptable than an actual dashiki
