What is your experience? How much did it cost with your insurance? Did you like it or hate it? Tell me about your experience please!
I want to reach out and get some validation but I don't want my parents to know. I'm 19 but live at home while I'm in college.

See if there’s any therapy offered through your college! That’s how I did therapy for a while at only $10 a session (which is unheard of for therapy) I got lucky and immediately liked my therapist and we worked well together. I did EMDR with her and it had a huge positive impact. I highly, HIGHLY recommend therapy even for people who have only mild symptoms. The problem is definitely the cost, some insurances cover it, many don’t. And it is very expensive without it being covered or going through a university

I haven't gone but have been considering it for years. Two of my best friends go to therapy and they love it. They keep telling me to go and I haven't. But they said they have had such a good experience and it's really helped them to work through the issues they are facing as well as working through past trauma. I think if you're considering it definitely call your insurance company and see what your copay would be and what therapists are covered. Unless the payment is astronomical I wouldn't let the price keep me from having better mental health, coping mechanisms, and be overall happier with life. We all deserve to live our best lives and sometimes that entails help from a professional
