Break ideas please 🧖‍♀️

This is a little embarrassing.

My daughter is 7.5 months old. We live in a 14sqm caravan in our garden because we bought a derelict historical barn that needs renovating less than two weeks before I got pregnant. My daughter wants to crawl everywhere and on a bad weather day life gets so hard.

Yesterday I realised if I don’t start investing back into me I’m going to have a pretty significant breakdown. We don’t have a lot of money but my husband agreed that, from now on, I’m going to get weekly “me time” and a small budget to go with it. I hope this is the breakthrough I’ve been looking for.

We live in rural Lower Saxony but there are a few small towns nearby. As embarrassing as it sounds, I’ve kind of forgotten how to take care of myself. I need some ideas on what to spend my time and (limited) money on. Can you help me out?

This week I’m getting a haircut. Don’t know about next week. Might look into riding lessons again? I used to ride...

On the no money train here is what comes to mind: reading, going on a picnic (fun family activity too) or reading at a coffee house, bike riding or going for a nature walk, star gazing especially in the country. I've started cross stitching again. I forgot about how relaxing it can be. Taking it to a park and chilling sounds amazing! Getting a massage! Doing some outdoor yoga gets me zen. No matter what you choose just remember to enjoy yourself!!

Ask yourself what activity are you doing that makes you feel like yourself. Reading? Dancing? Art? Watching a movie? All of those are restful

Hair. Nails, movies. Where I live there aren't a whole lot of options, that's basically it. Go to your local park and walk or sit and enjoy the scenery. Go out to lunch or dinner with a friend

Lol its different but kind of the same for me lol. I live in a tiiiiny town, we have one fast food joint, one restaurant. Have to drive for anything else so I totally get that. Makes it really hard lol

Where I live there is scenery everywhere. The closest cinema is over an hour away. It’s so rural and I don’t have friends who speak English I can casually meet up with for lunch 😬 I emigrated...
