I recently started taking birth control in April but got off in May due to extended periods and cramps. I didn’t stick it out for three months like they suggested so during May I bled for 18 days straight. 6 or 7 of those days I was already off. After the bleeding I was having slight discharge but not thick or itching to be a yeast infection I thought. So I went to get a Pap smear afterwards in June to make sure everything was okay and everything came back fine and the doc said it was a mild yeast infection and prescribed me a one day pill to no avail. In July I went back to the doctor because I was still having discharge and they still didn’t know what it was. It came back clear of anything. It is now September and I’m still having complications with discharge. It goes away for like a day or two after my period but comes back. I recently started to get an itch and my discharge became thicker so I I’ve been doing a three day suppository. During the first day the itching stopped but still discharge. Second day no itch, it seems like less discharge but still there. It seems like it’s clearing up but I won’t know until the last day. I have a doctor appt for later today to check my blood sugar to make sure there are no underlying illnesses or anything. But before taking the birth control i wasn’t having this problem at all. Does anyone know why after birth control this is happening? Or if anyone has dealt with something similar to this, how were you able to deal with this and get rid of it? Any and all advice is helpful thank you.
