Ovulation after miscarriage possible?

Hey, just wondering if there is a chance I can ovulate shortly after a miscarriage? What is the reasoning to wait until another period besides being emotionally ready? Has anyone not waited and had a successful pregnancy? Thanks for your input . Hoping to get back to trying as soon as possible.

After my last miscarriage my doctor told me that it is possible to ovulate 2 weeks after the loss happens( before the period starts) but it is recommended to wait at least one cycle to try to conceive because your uterus needs time to heal and to stay safe from infections.

I had a miscarriage back in July 29th. 
Stopped bleeding Aug 4th. 
My Hcg levels were at a 5 on Aug 11. And I am most likely sure I ovulated by the end of that week because by Aug 16 I had some thick egg white discharge with what looked like old blood.
On Aug 23rd I was starting to feel my pregnancy symptoms. I didn’t test till Aug 30th and it was positive. 
I wasn’t trying to get pregnant, in fact I was going to wait a cycle so timing wasn’t difficult. So yes, you can ovulate as soon as 2 weeks.
