Would you rat them out? 🐀

I know someone who lives in a city with a mask mandate. The city officials also put together a snitch/rat phone line in April that citizens could call if they saw people not abiding by the mandate or Covid guidelines. For example, if your neighbor was having a house party, you could call the line and they would send over an officer or health officials.

Today this person went to an arts & craft store and saw some of the employees were wearing face shields instead of masks. She called the rat line and reported them. The health officials said it was against the mandate to wear face shields instead of masks and they would send someone to the store. Would you have done this, knowing it might result in the employees possibly being fired or fined, or would you have minded your business?
