Coca cola for headache?

Question

I had a killer headache, like had tried everything to make it go away (except meds cause I'm staying away from everything except prenatals). I did temple back and oxyput massage, bath with bath salts, hot tea, soothing scents, napping. Everything. My sister gave me a can of coke and since I've been drinking it, the headache has gone away.
(Before this soda, I've been staying away from caffeine bc I'm pregnant btw)
Has anyone heard of this?

Its ok to have a bit of caffeine, lack of it probably gave you the migraine. There’s healthier ways to get caffeine than a coke though.

If you drank or ate anything with caffeine before you were pregnant, and now you stopped it's more than likely a caffeine headache. Very common symptom of caffeine withdrawal. Also just headaches in general, caffeine seems to help. It's in some headache medicines actually.

I would think some good ole Tylenol is better for you than what is inside Coca Cola lol

During my first pregnancy, my ob nurse said if Tylenol doesn't do the trick have a mountain dew. If you read an excedrin bottle active ingredients are Tylenol, caffeine and aspirin. So caffeine is known to help headaches.

totally!! the little caffeine in coke probably helped shoo away your headache. Dark sodas are “known” to be great “medicines” lol! 
 Is there a particular reason you’re trying to stay away from medicines? My headaches got so bad that I neeeeded tylenol. It’s completely safe to take whenever (as opposed to ibuprofen products during pregnancy, which aren’t advised:)) if that was a concern/reason not to take any yet:)

Yep I had a huge headache yesterday. I got a small coffee from Starbucks and it instantly went away.

It is the caffeine that helps. That is why some acetaminophen products also contain caffeine.
