Which baby monitor would you recommend?

We’ve spent weeks researching baby monitors. As soon as we almost land on one we read all sorts of reviews about people having issues (false alarms, connectivity issues, etc). At this point we’re just overwhelmed and don’t know which one to get!

I won't get a wifi one because of the risk of people hacking into it easily, that being said I have also been researching for weeks and can't find any video monitor that seems worth getting!! I've been looking at the summer infant pixel, it seems to have decent reviews but we are still undecided.

I just got the $65 vetch set and it works great. Video isn’t necessary... it’s nice for some, but if babe is sleeping in your room the first couple months anyway I would say totally unnecessary

We don’t have the money to spend on a big fancy monitor. We were given the owlet sock by family, but we will be purchasing the Vava baby monitor. I don’t want an app that has to rely on WiFi, because technology like that is unpredictable. I also wanted a physical monitor and not an app on my phone. The Vava has a huge monitor screen without being bulky and it’s HD video. I spent weeks researching too and this is what we landed on.

I’m going for the Miku. We picked it because it doesn’t require the band like the Nanit, and has more technology advancements. I have heard mixed reviews about the owlet, and honestly the sensor on a babies foot I have concerns about.
