Positive OPK after period?

Delete if not allowed just curious if this has happened to anyone else. I got my period August 30th and just finished on September 3rd. I started opk testing for this cycle today at 12:30 and my strips were blazing positive like I've never gotten such a dark positive in the 2 years that I've been tracking. I'm on CD8 and have never ovulated this early and I'm also not having any other symptoms of ovulation like EWCM that I normally have. I have a constant dull cramp that I've had since I was on my period and it's not just one sided. Anyone else ever experience this? I also got negatives on my digital ovulation tests. I tested again with the strips at 8:20pm and they are still dark positive.

Hmm that’s interesting. Well I would have sex just to make sure and it’s possible you will ovulate 36 hours from that positive test but the CM is what’s throwing me off. I wonder if your body is just having another LH surge.

I got pretty dark lh test strips this last cycle right after my period as well.  But I ended up getting truly positive OPKs later in my cycle when I truly was ovulating. I’m not sure why it happened but it happened to me too!

Are you sure it was your period? Those strips also can show positive for hcg. Did you take a pregnancy test to be sure?
