Dumb question?

I’m a FTM, so no judgement. 
But when your baby is a year old do you just stop breast milk/formula or do you still continue to do it????? I know this sounds like the dumbest question but I genuinely don’t know

Your baby needs breastmilk or formula until 1. After 1 your baby can switch to homo milk. When to stop breastfeeding is your own personal choice. You can breastfeed for asking as you and your child choose. My daughter is 13 months she gets cows milk at meals but still nurses a few times a day. If you want to wean off breastmilk a gradual approach is easier for mom and baby rather than cold turkey but again everyone is different,

I breastfeed so I personally keep nursing until I’m ready to wean. I nursed my first until she was two

You can start transitioning around 11-12 months and then go fully into milk at a year or a little later, whichever you want. They do toddler formula, but I think it’s a waste.

I breast fed ezra for like 5 months woth formula to supplement then went straight formula, then around 11 months maybe 10.5 I start doing 2oz of whole milk and the rest formula and by 12 months he was on regular milk.... now he's 17 months and is on everything but alcohol lol

We took our daughter off of formula at about 13 months. We took the extra month because we weren't confident that she was getting enough nutrition from food only. She can be a picky eater on and off.  Essentially, you take your baby off formula when they are getting their full nutrition from food. Which can be at about 1 year :)
