Where do you put newborn for naps?

My son is almost 2 and a half, he still spends 90% of his naps in my arms.

I put her in her crib in her bedroom for most naps. If I’m going to nap too then I put her in the pack and play by my bed

My son has always slept for naps in the same place he slept at night.

As a newborn? Wherever we are. Let them get used to napping with noise or otherwise every little noise will wake them up. Once they got a little older I’d put them napping in their crib to get used to it to make transitioning from a pack n play in my room to their crib easier. Never had issues this way.

My daughters just now four months old and I’m only just now starting to put her in her bed in our room for naps. Up til now and even still for most naps she sleeps on my chest.

Wherever she falls asleep is where she slept for naps as a newborn. Sometimes the swing, the couch, the bassinet. She got into a nap routine when she was about 6 months old and a schedule fell into place. I didn’t concern myself with the stress of a schedule as a newborn.

My kids always napped near me for the first few months as I needed them to be around light and sound during the day so they could quickly learn day vs night. 
Around 4 months is when I start napping them in their cribs.
