Waiting 18 months after baby????

Question

Any other moms who have had babies before get pregnant before they turned 18 months and went full term? I just read where you’re more at risk for having your baby early if you don’t wait at least 18 months after a baby to conceive and my little guy was 7 months when I conceived!

My OB had suggested to wait 12 months and I waited 10. It’s just so your body has time to heal and research does show preterm labor as a risk.

I honestly don’t know if that’s true, but I’m in the same boat. My son was 9 months when I got pregnant again.

My son was 12 months and had an emergency c section with him 🤷 my doctor doesn't seem worried

It’s sooo common to have children closer together than that. It’s just the official recommendation to wait 18m, especially after a c-section. It doesn’t make your pregnancy “high risk” or anything like that.

We conceived our second when our daughter was 13m. I’m currently 36+4 with our second 🤷‍♀️
