Husband trying to ruin my name!

I ran away from my husband last year due to domestic abuse. We’ve been divorced since December last year. Before I left last year April we took out some sofas on finance on my name as his credit rating is appealing. We were paying for it on time etc. Since I’ve gone I told him to make sure he’s paying for it and as far as I’m concerned he was paying, until I received a call from debt managers explaining that the company haven’t been receiving monthly payments for the past 3 months therefore, they’ve sent the account to debt collectors.

I don’t know what to do as I’m no longer living with him. Ive messaged him about it but he’s ignored my messages.

What can I do?
