Is it selfish to want to bring a baby into this world the way it is right now? I wang a baby but how the world is tight now I would feel it was selfish!

I want a baby but how the world is right now I would feel it was selfish! I have been trying to conceive for three years now and I just stopped when the world took a major turn back in January, I just don’t see it’s fair to bring a new life in this world on purpose, but if I have a baby don’t get me wrong I will be the happiest person in the world and love and protect my baby regardless. Just wanna know your opinion on how you feel about it with the world taking this turn?

I don’t feel selfish at all.
The world is never going to be perfect.. never has been.
Sooo I wasn’t going to wait around for the world to get better 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not sure why it would be selfish. What if everyone had stopped procreating during the flu of 1918? Or the Great Depression? Or during either of the world wars?

There is never a “right time” to bring a child into the world. It’s not like we’ve ever had world peace or anything...

It's selfish.
We're already too many people on this planet and with climate change, children will have to face so many more problems than today.
But I don't think being selfish from time to time is wrong.
