Does anyone else get annoyed when you have to repeat yourself?

If I have to repeat myself once, it's no biggie. But the second or third time I'm over it and just say forget it. I don't know why but it literally irks me so bad.

Yes! I'm a teacher and have a toddler. I don't mind having to repeat myself when I'm in "teacher mode" especially since I teach Prek. However, when it comes to adults... I can't stand repeating myself. I get so mad and say forget it too lol

Yes!! But I only get frustrated at my husband. He ignores 90% of everything I say then says “huh” constantly. He says it’s called selective hearing 🤦‍♀️. I say he’s just being a butt. 🤣 But I get so aggravated with him sometimes because of it.

My boyfriend literally cannot hear for shit so this is a daily occurrence in my life. Sometimes I repeat myself even when he’s heard me just because I’m so used to it. 😂

Because someone is ignoring me? Yes. Because someone needs something explained in a different way or was taking notes? No. I deal with a lot of data and details, and I also train people on delicate, difficult procedures with very little room for error. I repeat myself frequently to be sure everyone is clear on what’s going on.

If it's children or seniors I'm fine with repeating myself. However, when it's young adults or my husband I get annoyed.
 I actually just had this conversation on Saturday. I'm a manager at a small leisure store. A customer asked if we had more than one type of a specific product. I said no, that was the only one we had. The customer then asked if we had a different size of said product. Again, no. It's the only one we have. "So you don't have the bigger size?" 🤯🤯🤯

People get annoyed with me because they have to repeat themselves sometimes. But a lot of times, I genuinely can’t hear or understand them. I think sometimes people believe they are being louder and more clear than they actually are.
