What should newborn wear to bed

Can my newborn (3 weeks old) wear just footie pajamas to bed? I keep the house between 68-70 degrees at night. I don’t want him to be cold & definitely don’t want to use a blanket on him either

Footies are fine, swaddles are also great alternatives to blanket

That’s pretty cool for just pjs. Babies usually need one more layer than you. So if you would be comfortable sleeping in a tank and shorts with no blanket, baby should be fine in just pjs. But I bet you need more for 70F.

We love sleep sacks if you don't want to swaddle but honestly we swaddled then and swaddle.not and it's the best. There are lots of easy swaddle options with velcro and zippers (I like the zippered ones best). But we have also put him to bed in just a sleeper with footies and he was fine, just slept better swaddled.

My son wears footies to bed and he does just fine. He also has a swaddle just in case, I just be sure to check his little face and make sure it's not getting too cold

How thick are the pajamas? That’s not very warm house wise to only have pj’s on. We used a lot of blankets when our daughter was newborn - safely - put baby at the bottom of the bed, tuck the blankets in so you only have the amount you need.
Otherwise get a baby sleeping bag
