Large abdominal circumference!?

Question

I just had my anatomy ultrasound at 21+2 and baby was measuring BIG. My weight gain is right on track and I had a normal BMI prior to pregnancy. My fundal height was a week ahead which is normal.... Baby was 1lb 3oz and his abdominal circumference is in the 93.5 percentile. My midwife recommends that I have an early 1hr glucose test this week and repeat a growth scan with my 2 hr glucose test at 28 weeks... Has anyone had this happen? Did you have GDM?

Doctors just want to rule out diabetes to be safe, there are a handful of other reasons. Because my uterus tilts backwards, I wasn't measuring large until around 34 weeks (otherwise it would have been sooner). I had a "bulky placenta," too much amniotic fluid, and a "larger" baby.....all affected abdominal circumference, but none of which was diabetes. we had no complications, and a 7lb 6oz baby. Don't let it freak you out!

I always measured ahead in fundal height and we knew baby was large. No GD. I only gained twenty lbs that pregnancy and was all my belly. Delivered him at 39+2 vaginally 10lb 1oz 😂 some babies are just big. At nine month appt he was over 23lbs. No newborn diapers or outfits worked here.
