My baby is here!!!
Born at 38 weeks 4 days! Weighing 8lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long! Came in for high blood pressure at around 12:30. Started pitocin about 2pm. Baby was born at 4:42! Came in at 5 cm dilated and by the time I decided I wanted the epidural it was too late! My water broke on it’s own at 10 cm. I’ve never known a pain like contractions at 8-10 centimeters dilated! It’s intense!! So I’m 10 cm my baby’s head is right there and my doctor was in the middle of a csection!!! So he told my nurses not to push me until he came (baby’s cord was around her neck at 37 weeks ultrasound) of course my body was pushing for me with every contraction so it’s very hard to not push! (And hurts like hell) Yes I screamed “I can’t do this” like i had a choice 🤣 the doctor FINALLY made it in I was able to push baby the rest of the way out in about 4 pushes. She got stuck a little because her arm was up by her head! All is well now! Only 4 hours of labor (was 18 hours with my first) just want to tell mamas that are wanting to go all natural prepare yourself! Look up how to train your brain for pain management! I went in with just a “I don’t want the epidural” attitude and well.... I really wish I would’ve prepared my head better! It was an amazing and empowering experience but definitely painful one!!
