Did baby “drop?”

My belly looks different today .. I’m 37 weeks... does it look like it dropped, and if so, what exactly does that mean? How soon after it “drops”, does labor start? Assuming it’s different for everyone.. just wondering 🤔 just hoping he didn’t turn breech on me, or something lol😯

Dropping doesnt have much to do with labor. Not all women visually drop either. I could tell i dropped due to pressure and ob confirming baby was at pelvic station 0, even though it didnt look like it.

When the baby drops that means they're getting into the position for labor. It doesn't really tell you a given time frame when you'll deliver. But dropping is just another step closer to delivery

I definitely see a difference! I dont think it pertains to labor though. From about 25 weeks on, my son would be high during the day and low at night.

For sure dropped but doesn’t mean anything for labor. I dropped super early with both my kids. At 31-33 weeks and I never even went into labor on my own
