question

i’m getting knotless box braids this weekend, i was thinking about leaving them in until december to protect my hair so i won’t straighten it or anything. not to be offensive, but for my black girls how long do you keep your braids in.

some people have said as long as three months, but i normally keep mine in for about 1 month and a half at most. i’m good at keeping them good looking just curious if it’s healthier to try to keep it in for three months.
