Best first shoes

Question

Sp my sons turns one next month and he doesnt need any toys clothes etc so my parents have offered to buy him a nice pair of first shoes since he will be walking soon and we are going into winter.    
I was thinking striderite but please drop your favorite first shoes.  
I want something comfortable and easy to walk in 
(They told me to pick the shoes out)

Stride Rite shoes in general are amazing and what most ped docs recommend as 1st "real shoes". We also had a pair of high quality leather ones. Basically like barefoot but protected. Use them on like dry grass playing or when she is chilling in the stroller or backpack since they are light and breath better

I’ve bought this brand for my daughter since she started walking they are great quality and they are great for first walkers.

I really liked ikiki. They help promote good walking and they get an encouraging squeak from the shoe when done right. Easy to put on and if the squeak gets annoying you can turn if off.
