Do you register for baby clothes?

I’ve seen torn answers saying to not register for them because you’ll get NOTHING but baby clothes at your shower, but idk

with my first I didn’t say the gender because I didn’t want a lot of clothes. I am kinda picky and also I heard so many people get small sizes which they grow out of so quick and rather than deal with exchanging I just didn’t register and didn’t say gender. 
I would also would say don’t register for blankets, i received so many freaking blankets and didn’t register for any. And you really don’t use a ton.

I put a few things on mine. We’re having a virtual shower and I used amazon as my registry so if people are sending straight from amazon they probably aren’t going to go out to the store and buy clothing too. Which is good and bad. Everyone says you get so many clothes but I may not get any lol so good thing I’ve been buying things here and there. We need NB/0-3 at this point so we’ll see but I have a feeling people won’t be sending a ton of outfits since they’re not going to the store to buy the presents.

I registered for some but not many. I got a lot of second hand clothes from family but it will be nice to have fresh items too... they become worn out quickly.

I did, but I don’t think a ton. Some 0-3 and 3-6 month body suits. My mom’s already bought a ton of (girly) outfits. She’s had to be reigned in.

Even if you don’t register for clothes, you’re probably going to get a bunch of clothes at your shower because that’s what people like buying. So I’d register for some pieces you like to give people an idea of what you want style wise (like shorts, onesies, gowns, etc.) and hope that they follow it. In my experience, people don’t typically buy off of a registry anyway they see it as a guide.

I have varying sizes from a couple NB to a year just so we don’t have a ridiculous amount of stuff that he can’t wear

I didn’t, except for ONE piece I really want. I’ll probably end up buying it myself, but. There’s lots of babies in the family so I’m getting plenty of second hand clothes, I didn’t really see a need to register for any.

With my son I didn’t put too much on. With this pregnancy my registry will be a variety of sizes not just 0-3 or 3months
