Pregnant?

My period is 4 days late. I took a test on the day my period was supposed to come and it was negative so I just assumed I wasn’t pregnant. But I still haven’t started. I’ve been super gassy and my breasts have felt sore on and off, but other than that I haven’t had any symptoms of my period coming. Is there a chance I could’ve tested too early?
