Switching to formula

Hey, not sure where to post this but...

I had a doctor's appointment 2 days ago that landed me in the emergency room with mastitis that turned out to be breast abscessed requiring surgery. needless to say I've been in the hospital for a few days unable to feed my baby breast milk and we've had to switch her to formula. My question is have any of you switched cold turkey to formula and what were the side effects? I'll be calling her pediatrician tomorrow to make sure everything is okay. also I have a lot of mom guilt for not wanting to breastfeed anymore and some of the doctors have made me feel really bad so how did you get past that if you experienced that as well?

She'll be 4 weeks Tuesday
