Does weight contribute?

My hubby and i are TTC for baby #2. I was 50 pounds lighter when I concieved my first. Has weight been an issue with anyone on here when trying to conceive? Should I be trying to lose some weight? Will it effect my chances of getting pregnant at all?

I was told that a 10% loss in weight would be enough to raise my chances of getting pregnant. I wish I had lost weight before getting pregnant tho. I got pregnant without help after 16 months without losing weight. There are some fertility issues that are severely impacted by weight, like PCOS, ovulatory dysfunction(which I have) and premature ovarian failure. I don’t think endometriosis is impacted by weight. But I will say, this is the heaviest I’ve ever been. I’m 5w3d and it’s taking such a toll on my body already. It’s ROUGH. I’m 243 and 5’1”. My BMI is 45.5.
